Pay once, automate forever, no monthly bill ever again. That's the promise of Pabbly Connect's lifetime deal, and it's the reason most people — me included — give the tool a serious look in the first place. But "lifetime deal" is also the two-word phrase that has burned more small-business buyers than any other in software. So before putting it in front of you, I did what I always do here: the boring math, plus a careful read of the fine print.

What I found: the math is genuinely excellent in one direction, surprisingly ordinary in another, and there are three traps in the terms that decide whether this deal is a steal or a subscription you paid for in advance.

The short version

The lifetime deal pays for itself in about 4-6 months versus Zapier — but about two years versus Pabbly's own subscription. It's the right buy if you know automation is a permanent part of your business and your monthly volume is stable. It's the wrong buy if you're still experimenting. And whatever you do, don't buy the Standard tier blind — it's a much smaller product than it sounds. Details below.

What the one-time plans actually include

As of August 2026, Pabbly lists three one-time tiers. Prices move during promotions, so treat these as the current baseline and confirm at checkout:

Pabbly Connect one-time plans — checked August 2026. Promotions move these numbers.
One-time tier Price (once) Tasks / month The catch
Standard ~$249-349 3,000 Only 10 workflows, two-step automations
Ultimate ~$699-799 10,000 Unlimited workflows, multi-step — the real product
Ultimate Plus ~$1,298 20,000 Adds a year of customer support

Every plan still benefits from Pabbly's task-counting rule — only action steps consume tasks, while triggers, filters, routers and formatters run free — so 10,000 Pabbly tasks stretches noticeably further than the same number elsewhere. I walked through exactly how that works in my full Pabbly Connect review.

Trap #1: Standard lifetime is not the Standard you think

This is the big one. The monthly Standard subscription gives you unlimited workflows and full multi-step logic. The one-time Standard plan — same name — caps you at 10 workflows and two-step automations. Trigger, one action, done. No filters, no routers, no chains.

For most people reading this site, that cap turns the cheapest tier into a demo. If your automations are real, the lifetime conversation starts at Ultimate.

Trap #2: No upgrades, no stacking

Pabbly's own terms say it plainly: one-time plans can't be upgraded to a higher one-time tier later, and you can't stack multiple lifetime purchases to raise your task ceiling. If you outgrow your tier, your official path is buying a subscription on top of the plan you already "own forever."

So size the plan for where your business will be in two years, not where it is this month. Under-buying a lifetime plan is the one mistake you can't undo.

Trap #3: Support terms differ by tier

The one-time offer page describes the lower tiers as self-service — only Ultimate Plus lists a year of included customer support. Given that Pabbly's support is already email-paced (my test question took just over a day), factor that in: a lifetime plan means you're buying self-sufficiency along with the software.

Now the math — both directions

Most reviews compare the lifetime price to Zapier and stop there. That comparison is real, but it's only half the question. The other half is comparing it to Pabbly's own subscription — because that's the price of patience.

Break-even for the Ultimate one-time plan (~$699-799), based on August 2026 prices.
Compared against Monthly cost Lifetime breaks even in
Zapier Professional (similar workload) ~$73.50 ~10 months
Zapier at heavier volume (Team tier) ~$448.50 ~2 months
Pabbly's own monthly plans (~$16-33) ~$16-33 ~2-4 years

Read that last row twice — it's the one nobody shows you. Against Zapier, the lifetime deal is a landslide. Against Pabbly's own already-cheap subscription, you're pre-paying two to four years of automation. That only makes sense if two things are true: you'll still be automating in 2029, and Pabbly will still be around and maintained then. The company has operated since 2018 and the tool is actively developed, which is reassuring — but "lifetime" always means the lifetime of the company, not yours.

Not sure your volume justifies lifetime yet? Start on the free plan, watch your real task count for a month, then buy the tier your numbers point to.

Who should buy which tier

Lifetime makes sense if

  • Automation is already permanent in your business
  • Your monthly task volume is stable and predictable
  • You'd otherwise pay Zapier $70+/month for years
  • You buy Ultimate or Plus — sized for two years from now

Stick to monthly if

  • You're still testing whether automation sticks
  • Your volume swings wildly month to month
  • Cash flow matters more than long-term savings
  • You'd lean on support — buy the safety net instead

My honest take

I treat lifetime deals like gym memberships: great value only if you were already going to show up. If you've run automations for a few months, your task count is steady, and the Zapier invoice stings every month — the Ultimate one-time plan is one of the best deals in this category, full stop. If you're earlier in the journey, the free plan plus a month of honest numbers will tell you more than any review.

For the full picture of living with the tool day to day, read my 30-day Pabbly Connect review, and for the per-workflow billing math against Zapier, the five-automation cost breakdown has the spreadsheets.

Our verdict

Excellent deal for established, steady-volume automators buying Ultimate or higher; an expensive shortcut for everyone else. Skip the Standard tier — the 10-workflow cap makes it a different, smaller product.

Buy lifetime if automation already pays for itself in your business and your volume is predictable. Otherwise start free, measure for a month, and let your own task count make the decision. There's a 30-day money-back guarantee either way — use it as a real trial, not a slogan.

Frequently asked questions

Is the lifetime deal still available in 2026? Yes — Standard, Ultimate and Ultimate Plus one-time plans are still listed as of August 2026, with prices that move during promotions. Confirm at checkout.

How much is it? Roughly $249-349 (Standard, 3,000 tasks/month), $699-799 (Ultimate, 10,000), and ~$1,298 (Ultimate Plus, 20,000), depending on the active promo.

Can I upgrade or stack later? No — Pabbly's terms rule out both. Size for future volume.

When does it break even? About 4-10 months versus a comparable Zapier plan; about 2-4 years versus Pabbly's own subscription.

Which tier should I buy? Ultimate for most serious users — Standard's 10-workflow, two-step limit is a much smaller product than the name suggests.
